Seven prime values sit below H0 in my personal values; their content is not fully published on this site yet.
What exists
H0 (Humane Core) and seven prime values, coded P1 through P7, are personal commitments I have developed and hold to. They are the spanning roots from which more specific values and ideas on this site derive. I have not yet published their names, formulations, or per-prime exposition here.
This page records that they exist and how I developed the set — methodology and purpose only, not content. Fuller publication on this site may come later, when I choose to share it deliberately and in a form consistent with the values themselves. This work may or may not ever become something larger; until then, these are my values, not the charter of an organisation.
Purpose of the prime set
The prime values are not a complete inventory of everything I care about. They are irreducible generative roots: a small set from which a larger, evolving body of more specific values can be derived, tested, and refined over time.
That structure serves three aims for my work:
- Spanning foundation — what I write, design, and argue traces upward to a fixed ethical floor (H0) and a fixed set of primes, rather than to ad hoc preferences of the moment.
- Room to grow — holding the primes does not close the inventory; more specific values can still be proposed, tested, and added as my thinking develops.
- Honest footing — a small, stable core is enough to keep creating and publishing before every downstream value is spelled out in public.
Concrete mechanisms, schemas, and patterns on this site are attempts to honour these values. The primes are the commitments beneath those attempts.
How I developed the set
I did not discover these values and assert them. I derived, stress-tested, and committed to them through a documented process — the same document before apply standard the site applies elsewhere.
Derivation–deliberation–commitment
Work proceeded in recurring cycles, each following four phases:
- Derivation — candidate values generated through multiple independent methods (each method run on its own before outputs are compared). No single method was treated as sufficient.
- Gap analysis — convergence and divergence across methods recorded; candidates that appeared independently were stronger signals; isolated or absent candidates were explicit findings, not silent omissions.
- Deliberation — candidates evaluated against hard scenarios: not only “Is this true?” but “Is this what I am willing to stand behind when the case is uncomfortable?”
- Commitment and logging — what I accepted was fixed in a written record with provenance (methods used, tests applied, date, honest limits of what the commitment includes). Rejected candidates and reasons retained.
Methodology, not preference
The derivation methodology is written down — assumptions visible, scope defined, results reproducible by anyone with the same inputs. That matters because:
- A method that exists only in my head cannot be revised, only replaced by another implicit method.
- Readers who care should see how I reached these commitments, not only what I reached.
- The same epistemic standards that govern the knowledge stack apply to the process that produced them.
Personal commitment
These primes are values I personally commit to. I use them to create what I create, to write what I write, and to live by. I may publish fuller exposition here later; I may revise how I state them as my understanding deepens; the commitment is to the substance I have already tested, not to hiding behind vague language.
What I do not publish here yet: public names, exact wordings, per-prime exposition, derivation report extracts, or rules for resolving conflicts between primes when stated in substance.
More specific derived values remain candidates for later articulation; they are not implied to be settled because the primes are.
Published themes on this site
Separate from the unpublished prime set, three values are explicitly adopted here — crystallised in Genesis and used to ground principles and pattern tagging:
They are public commitments of this site, not hidden primes. When a pattern links to a value, it usually means one of these (or H0), not an undisclosed P1–P7 formulation.
Publication on this site
This site shares selected ideas — articles, patterns, frameworks, ontology — aligned with what is already public. The full prime values are held back until I publish them in a deliberate form.
When they appear, expect: named entries for P1–P7, formulations as I then stand behind them, and links to derivation provenance where useful.
Until then: they exist, they govern how I work, and this page is the only public statement about them on this site.
