H0: Humane Core
Humaneness above all — the orientation that constrains every layer below
Every value, principle, pattern, and mechanism must serve human dignity; where anything conflicts with humaneness, it is rejected and refused — and if it still occurs, that is a betrayal of values, not a reason to weaken H0.
Nothing on this site exists to optimise systems at the expense of people. H0 is the supreme orientation I commit to: design choices, organisational ideas, and technical patterns are judged first by whether they treat people as ends rather than as instruments of process.
This is not softness masquerading as ethics. A system that achieves its purposes through coercion, deception, or indifference has failed regardless of what it achieves. Mercy — the orientation toward genuine transformation rather than punishment — is the most visible expression of this core, but the obligation runs deeper. Truth must be delivered with care. Accountability must be traceable to named authority, not diffused into blameless automation. Coherence must hold in operations, not only in documents.
When any value, principle, pattern, or mechanism conflicts with humaneness, the inhumane option is rejected and refused — not accommodated by weakening H0 or by a reading that lets it through. If it happens anyway — in operation, policy, or practice — that is betrayal of values: I said one thing and did another.
I state this value plainly here so that what I publish — articles, patterns, frameworks, ontology — remains accountable to it.
