After recorded debate, the organisation commits and executes — finality closes debate, not observation; reopen only through mechanism, not rank or regret.
Decision Making Principle 7 is decision finality after debate. Without closure, debate never ends, execution fractures, and rationality gives way to exhaustion and politics.
What it requires
- L0 commit closes debate after principles 1–6 are satisfied
- Support after = implement loyally while monitors run — not suppress doubt
- Reopen only via falsification trigger, contest, or supersession — never via rank, hallway coalition, or unrecorded regret
What finality is not
Finality does not grant immunity from evidence. Treating “we decided” as permission to ignore contradicting observations is commitment-as-immunity — the failure mode of decisions as one-way streets, where bind is easy and correction has no designed return path.
