Article 7 introduces committed vs uncommitted epistemic status and atomicity depth (L0–L3). Article 8 adds epistemic uncertainty as an independent third dimension (temporal, probabilistic, cross-stream). Together they classify what kind of artifact you have and how confidently you may depend on it.
